When should I assign a plan task?

Quite often there will be certain plan team members helping with an overall plan objective, but the action is more of a task that contributes to the plan objective, rather than delivering a specific portion of an objective. In this case, it is easy to assign a task from a plan objective to any team member. This gives accountability to the team member, whilst allowing the task to be visible on the plan objective.

Assigning tasks as described is an effective, manageable way to distribute work across a team, whilst ensuring plan owners have full visibility of progress against an objective.
